Adobe Firefly is a pioneering generative AI platform empowering creators to ideate and produce stunning visual and audio content with unprecedented ease. Launched in public beta in March 2023 and initially unveiled at Adobe MAX 2022, Firefly offers an integrated suite of AI-powered tools—text-to-image, vector generation, video and audio creation, and photo editing powered by Generative Fill—designed for both professionals and enthusiasts alike.

Built on Adobe’s Sensei AI, Firefly leverages licensed content from Adobe Stock and public domain repositories to ensure all outputs are commercially safe and IP-respectful. This means clients can confidently use generated assets across marketing, design, and media without copyright concerns.

Key innovations include the Firefly Video Model—now in public beta and the industry’s first commercially safe generative video engine—available within the Firefly app, Premiere Pro (via Generative Extend), Adobe Express, and Creative Cloud workflows.  Users can now prompt content creation across multiple media types via the Firefly web app and soon via dedicated mobile apps on iOS and Android.
