The foundation of Wrike lies in project and task management: users can create nested projects, assign tasks, set dependencies, view work in Gantt, board, calendar, or table formats, and collaborate with comment threads and attachments. Over time, Wrike introduced customization, blueprints, advanced reporting, resource planning, approvals, integrations, and dashboards.

More recently, Wrike has embedded AI features to streamline workflows and reduce manual overhead. Its AI tools include content generation, summarization, and rewriting; comment summarization and highlight extraction; automation rule suggestions; and AI agents that can act on tasks autonomously. A Copilot assistant enables users to query their workspaces with natural language and receive contextually relevant responses. The “Ask AI” feature lets users ask questions across their workspace content, surface project summaries, and get quantitative insights. The platform also supports risk prediction, task prioritization, and suggestions to optimize team workload.

Wrike segments its AI features into tiers: AI Essentials (available to all plans) and AI Elite (available in higher paid plans). Essentials includes onboarding assistants, generative content, automation rule generation, and board highlights. Elite adds access to Copilot, agents, widget generation, and advanced AI tools. The usage of AI features is measured in “AI actions” and pooled across users. If usage limits are exceeded, administrators are notified, and usage continues freely until a cutoff date (currently set until March 2026).
