Canva for Education is a specialized edition of Canva designed for teachers, students, and K-12 institutions. The goal is to bring powerful, intuitive design and visual learning tools into the classroom without cost barriers. For eligible educators and students, Canva for Education offers nearly everything of Canva Pro and Teams—templates, collaboration tools, premium assets—free of charge. This ensures that classrooms of any size or budget can access modern visual communication tools.

With Canva for Education, teachers can design visually engaging lesson plans, infographics, presentations, worksheets, videos, and interactive content. Students can contribute directly to projects, collaborate in real time, and submit assignments within the platform. Many of Canva’s latest interactive tools—like quizzes, polls, voiceovers, animations, and interactive maps—allow lessons to come alive and promote active engagement.
Assignments can be distributed and collected via Canva, or integrated through learning management systems (LMS) like Google Classroom, Canvas, or Schoology, providing seamless workflow between classroom software and design tools. Teachers have access to approximate analytics and review tools to monitor student submissions, provide feedback, and guide learning progress. The platform includes safety measures and filtering to ensure content remains appropriate and student data is protected under privacy regulations.
